This document offers basic operational guidance on HIV testing and counselling in settings attended by people who inject drugs (PWID). It is intended for a wide audience, including policy-makers, HIV/AIDS programme planners and coordinators, care providers, nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) providing services for HIV-related conditions, and civil society groups.
The future trio presidency formed by Spain, Belgium and Hungary for the next 18 months has fixed as goals for the term the promotion of a united Europe on behalf of its citizens, building on the main achievements and respect for its rich cultural and social diversity. Within these goals the definition of a post-Lisbon strategy and the construction of an EU social agenda are the objectives more directly related to the EU drug Policy.

2007 National Report (2006 data) to the EMCDDA Slovak National Focal Point
National Report to the EMCDDA is based on the information from institutions and professionals from the field of health, education, social affairs, justice and other relevant areas. The information will become an integral part of the 2008 EMCDDA Annual Report on drug issues in Europe.
Training is the third part (Activity 3.2) of Twinning Project SK/06/IB/SO02.
The principal aim and scope of the training activity were construed and approved by a multi-disciplinary working group which was composed of representatives of state administration, such as the General Secretariat of Board of Ministers for Drug Dependencies and Drug Control (GS BMDDC), the Ministry of Labour, Social Affairs and Family (MLSAF), the Central Office of Labour, Social Affairs and Family (COLSAF), self-governments, academic community and professionals from Slovakia and from outside the country (France).
